The “Regata dei Tre Golfi” is one of the oldest offshore races in the Med and for the first time it was included in the Rolex Capri Sailing Week event. Following its tradition the Race started at midnight in front of Castel dell’Ovo, in the beautiful Naples’ bay. The arrival is in the island of Capri, after a 150 nautical miles route around the islands of the three bays of Naples, Salerno and Gaeta.
Franco Niggeler’s Cookson 50 Cant Kuka 3 first cut the finish line after 21 hours, 34 minutes and 30 minutes. In the second place, after less than an hour, Enledlessgame (YCC Savoia), followed 7 minutes later by Gaetana 2 (CRVItalia). Valter Pizzoli’s Ange Trasparent II (YC Monaco) is the overall ORC winner, while in IRC the winner is Guido Paolo Gamucci’s Cippa Lippa Rossa (YC Punta Ala ). Stefano Chiarotti on board of Lunatika (Jeanneau Sun Fast 3600) wins the two crew members only “Tre Golfi per 2” and Giovanni Pavia’s Skin, a Beneteau First 50, is the first classified in the “Gran Crociera” class.
